Loading Research of Load-Bearing Structure of Hopper Car with Composite Roof

Purpose. The work is aimed to investigate the loading of load-bearing structure with composite material roof. This will allow reducing dead weight hopper car and contribute possibility increasing its carrying capacity. Methodology. Investigations were performed using example hoper for grain transporting, model 19-6869, manufactured by Karpaty Experimental Mechanical Plant. It important say that use reduces roof up 40% in comparison metal design. That why mathematical modeling dynamic was carried out. Differential equations solved Runge-Kutta method MathCad software package. Initial conditions assumed be zero. During calculations, spring suspension parameters 18-100 bogie models taken into account. obtained results calculations used when determining main indicators strength. spatial created SolidWorks complex. Calculation finite element method, which implemented Simulation (CosmosWorks) When constructing car, isoparametric tetrahedra used. optimum number elements determined grapho-analytical method. Findings. basic indices dynamics obtained. Acceleration body mass center 5,0 m/s2. Coefficient vertical equal 0.67. found maximum equivalent stresses all considered schemes do not exceed admissible values, is, strength ensured.
